Sankt Nikolaj Church from early 13th century is named after the saint of the sailors as it was a church for fishermen, sailors, and tradesmen. The church was almost destroyed by the great fire in 1795 and it was never reopened as a church.
During the 1960es a number of avant-garde manifestations took place her and since 1981 it has been an exhibition hall. Bodil Markussen Holm
